First Meeting to be held in June 2016

2015-10-29 13:26:22

The kick-off meeting will be organized in 2016 as the first meeting of the EWG on Retail Operations. The first International Workshop on OR in Retail Operations (IW Retail Ops) is scheduled for June 3rd to 5th, 2016 at Castle Hirschberg, Beilngries, close to Munich, Germany (http://www.tagungshaus-schloss-hirschberg.de). Since its first edition, the workshop has no registration fee. Accommodation, facilities, lunches and the dinner are covered by the participants.

We plan to hold this meeting each second year, always in May/June to create a sustainable and long-lasting OR community that is working on retail topics.

Furthermore, we will continue as in the past to organize a stream on "Retail Demand and Supply" at the EURO and IFORS conferences. It is also the objective to organize further streams/session on OR applications in retail operations at other conferences such as POMS Annual conference or International Conference on Operations Research.
